With the intention of supporting the independents on the high street, I was really disappointed by the whole experience. Firstly couldn't find a seat as they were reserved for customers who had booked afternoon tea. When we did find a table, the food wasn't made as ordered, when I asked to change it I was asked how much I had eaten, I assume to work out how much to refund! I have never been asked this one before! Instead of being refunded back to my card as is the norm, I was given cash. The tea pots looked pretty but don't keep the drinks hot enough, so had lukewarm tea. Not a professional business, and I have run a successful eatery so I know. It seemed chaotic. Maybe they were having an 'Off' day but sorry won't be going back.
Food was nice as was the general feel of the place. They do need to make more effort in cleaning tables, which were sticky and not liking the black ceiling. But worth a visit to support independent traders offer that of the chains, which there are too many of in Solihull.
We had the small breakfast, which was good , all with tea and toast included in the price
I took my mom yesterday for her birthday to Cafe Isabella and I cannot praise it enough, it is a beautiful cafe very reasonably priced, serving gorgeous home made food and the scones were to die for. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We loved the decor and the place was spotlessly clean. Thank you so much to all the staff you made my moms birthday.
Had my daughter's baby shower here at the weekend & it was very good. We were a party of 13 & the service was excellent even though they were very busy. The afternoon tea was very good & the cakes were amazing. The staff are so friendly & couldn't do enough for us. We didn't manage to eat all of the food so they packed up what was left for us to take home. I would like to thank you all for making my daughter's baby shower so special.
