Firstly I expected my car to fail the MOT. It did, what I did not expect was the response from Halfords. They indicated that my emissions were too high and they did not know why and rather than offering to use them to find out why they suggested I take my car to another garage to have it checked. I find this to be a very poor service. Normally this garage is very good so I am upset from this visit
My 17 year old car needed some serious TLC, expert advice and hard work to get through its service and MOT. The staff at Lode Lane were excellent and the work was done for a reasonable cost (my car always needs some extra work to survive each year ahead, nowadays). The job was done quickly and the staff were always there to help - they discussed each available option with me openly and honestly, then fully supported my decisions. They deserve my 10/10. Well done in particular to the manager Chris W and MOT specialist John T!
