Met my childhood sweetheart / wife here 12 years ago - like most schools and like most things in life - it is what you make of it. (excluding the influence of social upbringings which let's face it, in a typical middle class area like Solihull, don't hugely vary). Looking back - I could have made a lot more of my time there then I did and although I see a lot of negative comments, that's unfortunately due to the internet - which sadly gives every uneducated / bitter chump an unchallenged outlet to spew their bullsh**. There's good and bad everywhere and anyone with half a brain will take all the comments, (I suppose including mine), with a pinch of salt, until they have had time to research, experience first hand and make up their own minds.

I like this school. Lovely teachers, good facilities and classrooms. Just a great aura around the entire place. My only complaint is some of the students are highly disrespectful. Some dont even care about learning. I find it extremely rude when students have no care for learning. Sometimes, I feel sorry for the teachers, but they are very good at putting up with this sort of behaviour. All in all, a great school. Dont be put off by the bad reviews if you are a parent deciding whether to send your child here. As a student, myself, I would highly recommend it.

This is a great school

Bad school recommend alderbrook

This school has lovely teachers who truly care about your well being and education, however the facilities are uncared for. For example toilets are dirty and are irregularly cleaned. Majority of students act immaturely and disrespectfully. The school allow for 6th formers to wear smart wear consisting of a smart suit with a blouse or shirt. However teachers tend to make comments on mostly females attire, comments on how bras are shown and most memberable 'sinful skirts'. When lets face it women shouldn't be ashamed to show off what they have got and have body confidence, however I do understand that showing too much is disrespectful to the whole catholic school appearance and children who take pride in their religion. Personally I feel women should learn to 'love themselves' from a young age. Besides why should women be made to cover up in case they distract the boys in the school, we should teach men not to sexualise the women rather than making young girls grow up having to be ashamed and hide themselves. Is a bra strap really hurting anyone?
