My name is Debbie Simpson. Not impressed at all. I had to wait 6 days for an appointment with a gynaecological consultant. I needed an MRI, the consultant put at the top of the form Urgent. I walked round to the MRI reception to hand my form in. I expected an appointment within 48 hours as the sign in reception advises patients of that time frame.I received a call on the 15th January 2019 offering me an appointment on 28th January 2019!! I declined and eventually got an appointment for 8am 22nd January 2019.Today, 25th January 2019, I have spoken to Spire MRI department as I have had no results or, as promised, a call from the consultant to discuss results. Apparently, the results have only became available today as the person who does them has not been in until today! I asked why wasnt I told about this on Tuesday, no response!!. So I have been advised the cost will be 390.00 for the scan, money I dont mind spending to get answers but, blimey, I cannot stress how disappointed I am with the service from Spire. My first experience of private health care, I am self funding, and feel I have been misled.Later on today, 25th January 2019, I received a call from the lady I had spoken to earlier. She had apparently spoken to my consultant who had asked her to call me with my results and, to advise that she herself would call me on Monday. Why does customer service only come when you spell out why you are disillusioned and, that you wish to complain?. The lady I spoke with was perfectly polite when she rang me however, she was frosty and lacked any empathy or understanding during our initial conversation.

This is not a good hospital,I routinely pay for private medical treatment, and have been treated as an inpatient at 3 private hospitals.I have been a outpatient on numerous occasions. I do this, not because I believe the NHS is bad, or I imagine that I will get better treatment. I do it because its convenient and hassle free. I can choose the time and see specialists quickly.(the same specialist work for the NHS)Im not suggesting the treatment at this hospital will be bad, BUT hassle free it is not.The staff are disorganised, unhelpful, bordering rude, and completely disinterested.( this does not include the specialist, doctors, or reception staff) The biggest problem I encountered was the policy of only giving 3 days post operative medication, (in my case this was prescription pain killers) and then being told to go to your NHS GP for more. When I ask why, the pharmacist said it was policy and what we always do. I was discharged about Friday lunchtime in pain and still confused from general anaesthetic and no sleep , my NHS surgery doesnt open at the weekend, and they do nothing quickly. I first need to get an appointment then explain what I want, the get a letter from the surgeon to say I need the pain killers. If I wanted the inconvenience and hassle of NHS i wouldnt of paid 6000 to go private.Their are better hospitals to use (same doctors).

Disorganised uncaring and shambolic from start to finish.Told to arrive at 7 30 am only to find anaethetist had not been booked and he had to rush in from homeStruck by totally uncaring attitude towards a chikd undergoing a very scary and serious eye operation. - consultant and anaesthetist and theatre team let down by admin and nursing staffWhen she was crying in pain and I asked if she could be given pain relief drops as prescribed by consultant told there were none. Finally unearthed on the desk and a mad rush to pharmacy before it closedAsked to see a doctor as she could not get eyes open and was terrified waited 4 hours and no one came. One nurse was finally nice Has been a hellish experience

I hate hospitals as a rule but my experience here was amazing. First rate consultant, really efficient service and most importantly for me a detailed explanation.

Went in to pickup items for parcel i couriers ltd...staff was very helpful & polite ...was very suprised to see such a clean hospital ... top marks to staff & management
