Visit was for a business meeting so only used the pub area. Very comfortable. Also ate from the bar menu which was very tasty. Modern surroundings in the hotel with good facilities invluding the attached sports club . Large free car park. Handy location for meetings just a mile off the M42.
Quite a pleasant stay. I asked reception for an extra pillow but I never received it. Some additional cleaning on permanent furnishings required also (bed base and condiments container were very dirty). All in all not bad thou thank you
Super noisy, paper thin walls, stained carpets.. twice asked for a room change as we had also been given a disability/assisted room (unsure as to why, as we had paid for and booked a standard double room)... No avail to the room change. Staff member has told us to ask again in the morning, which at this point would be the THIRD request.. not sure what the point of that would be at this point... (as it will be our final night here)All round disappointing, not quite what we had paid for. Definitely would not be visiting again
A generally disappointing experience for the price. Quality of rooms and service on par with a premier inn which is a third of the price. TV didn't work properly. Restaurant food - rustic chips, which are potato wedges - wasn't cooked through. Breakfast has less selection than a beefeater and again on par quality wise. The 'restaurant' is just a part of the bar, so you can't have a quiet meal. The bar has 10 massive screens constantly showing football. Great for big matches, not so good if you want a peaceful drink or meal after a long journey. So in summary, save yourself some money and stay down the road. You do not always get what you pay for.
I had gone there for using gym facility. it was nice to see that gym was nearly crowded, which indicates about the popularity of the place .The club trainer Thomas taught me the way to use various work out machines. He was very friendly and helpful. The place is neat clean with ample car parking. It also has all facilities one can look for in a club or fitness center such as well equipped gym with a professional trainer. A temperature controlled swimming pool of fairly big size, steam sauna, spa etc.
